Where your data is stored

Records you create in the app are stored locally on your device in protected iOS storage. We have no access to this data and no server of our own that receives it.

• Films, series, posters and trailers are provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). Moviely is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
• The app uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for a handful of aggregated events and crash reports. No advertising identifier is used and no tracking prompt is shown.
• Reviews and comments are visible to other users. Reporting and blocking are available.

Account and server storage

Without signing in, all data stays on the device. If you sign in with Apple, some data (shelf, ratings, notes, reviews, friend list and a notification token) is stored on Firebase (Google) servers for sync and shared features. Your email is not requested from Apple. The account can be deleted with one tap in the profile.

Accounts

Sign-in is optional and available only through Sign in with Apple. All core features work without it.

Third-party services

The app connects to the following services: The Movie Database (TMDB), Firebase (Google). Only what is needed for the request is sent (for example, a search string or coordinates). These services have their own privacy policies.

Analytics and crash reports

The app uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for a small set of aggregated events and crash reports. No advertising identifier is used, there is no cross-app tracking, and the App Tracking Transparency prompt is not shown.

Purchases

The paid subscription is bought on the softroom.app website rather than in the app. Payments are handled by ЮKassa: card details are entered on their side, and we never receive or store a card number. What stays on our side is the fact of payment, the subscription period, the identifier of the payment method saved at ЮKassa and the charge history — all needed for renewal and support. The app reads only whether the subscription is active. Auto-renewal can be turned off on the same page of the website at any time, and the time already paid for is kept.

Notifications

Reminders are local iOS notifications. They are created on the device and need no server. You can turn them off in iOS Settings.

Children

The app is not intended for unsupervised use by children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If the policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's update description.
